Moorestown High School
Class Of 1961

It is no secret that this is the year we turn  83.  WHAT IS IT ABOUT BECOMING OLD?   IS IT A MATTER OF PERSPECTIVE? OR IS IT MERELY: UNEXPECTED, UNAVOIDABLE, UNATTRACTIVE, UNSOLLICITED, PERVASIVE & INDOMITABLE?  OR JUST HUMBLING?

In this season of our life hopefully,we can finally enjoy the virtues, frustrations and joys of life because of the wisdom we have gained on the journey. Let's remember the importance of friendship: of having younger friends and making new ones.

A favorite comical author, Judith Viorst, says to take time to nurture your long-standing friendships as a living link between the past and present.' These are the friends ,she urges us to remember, who "loved you when --- and who love you now."                         Judith Viorst____________________________________________________________________________

Halfway down the stairs               Halfway up the stairs

is a stair.                                     isn’t up and

where I sit.                                  it isn’t down.

There isn’t any                            It isn’t in the nursery.

other stair quite like it.                 It isn’t in the town.

I’m not at the bottom,                   And all sorts of funny

I’m not at the top;                         thoughts

so this is the stair where                run round my head.

            I always stop.

                                              It isn’t really anywhere!

                                                It’s somewhere else

                                                         instead!
